Lemonade is always a good idea. Fresh lemonade with rosemary? Even better. I think lemonade is a bit nostalgic for everyone. I’m not sure why but there is something so familiar about lemonade. Something so familiar about fresh squeezed lemons, sugar and a favorite glass full of ice on a hot summer day. But I mean not just during the summer but all year around, lemonade quenches your thirst and just makes you smile.
Today I’m sharing a variation of classic lemonade by adding a few stems of rosemary. By infusing rosemary into a few cups of water you get the added benefits of this beautiful herb.
Rosemary can stimulate your immune system, and it also has some anti-inflammatory compounds! It can also lift your mood and improve concentration. I say that’s a win!
How to make Rosemary Lemonade
This is an easy recipe! First make yourself a lemon simple syrup this is the base for this lemonade!
- Next take 4 cups of boiling water and steep 3-4 stems of rosemary for about 15 minutes. Remove the stems and toss. You’ve just made a rosemary tea type of solution!
- Pour that rosemary tea into a heat safe pitcher, add 2-3 cups of lemon simple syrup, and another 2-4 cups of cold water to fill the picture.
- Give it a good stir and add ice, rosemary, and lemon slices to the pitcher! Taste and add sugar if you want!
