How to Set up a Lemonade Bar + A Gorgeous Printable Menu
I love a good bar theme when hosting, and a lemonade bar is a go to trendy party idea right now. I especially love it when I’m entertaining a large crowd. For my son’s graduation party last year, I set up the super popular dirty soda bar and it was a big hit. My thought is that people (and hosts like you and I) love when there’s something to do at parties. Having a bartender is definitely a direction you can go, but making something like lemonade bar is easy, interactive and it’s actually a great conversation starter.
There were so many conversations I overheard guests telling each other which dirty soda they tried and which one they should try. It was great!
So for the lemonade bar, I was thinking the same thing. Let’s have something interactive for guests to do and chat about that’s fun!
This is going to be great during the summer, but also great for all those spring hosting moments like baby showers, wedding showers, graduations and more! So many of us entertain out of the home so this is great set up to have while planning your next party.
What You Need for a Lemonade Bar
-
Drink dispensers (I love this one from Pottery Barn, but these are also a great option!)
-
Cups
-
Lemonade ( I love using Milos Lemonade)
- Torani Flavored Syrups
-
Garnishes ( lemon slices, limes, mint, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, coconut, etc)
-
Ice
How to Set Up a Lemonade Bar (Step-by-Step)
- First, lay out all your items so the flow makes sense. Have the menu toward the beginning so guests can start choosing what they want to make.
- Next, set up ice and cups. I love to use plastic cups for ease, but you can always use water goblets if it’s a fancier affair.
- Set up your flavors lined up in a row so it’s easy to access everything. Make sure there’s a tray or something underneath to catch any drips from the pumps.
- Next to the flavors, have all your garnishes and add-ins that make the lemonade feel extra special. Think mint leaves, strawberries, blueberries, lemon and lime slices, raspberries. This is such a fun place to really showcase everything.
Lemonade Bar Decor Ideas
When it comes to decor, I love keeping things classy and elevated. I always think about how the bar can blend into my overall aesthetic. Instead of loud colors or signs, how can I make it feel like it belongs in the space?
For me, that meant using white tablecloths, silver accents, and even swapping out the Torani bottles for cleaner options with custom labels (super easy to order online).
For garnishes, you can let guests clip fresh herbs from small potted plants such a fun touch. We always have something growing in the backyard, so this is one of my favorite things to do.
You can also display fresh lemon slices in glass jars, have bowls of fresh or jarred cherries…really, it’s about taking something store bought and presenting it in a way that feels a little more special.
My Favorite Lemonade Bar Menu Ideas
For graduation parties, I love the idea of customizing drinks for the graduate. Here is one menu you can copy and paste. This uses the 4 pack of Torani syrups…
- The Graduate (peach + vanilla + lemon + peaches)
- Pretty & Booked (raspberry + strawberry + lemon + raspberries and strawberries)
- Golden Hour Graduate (vanilla + lemon + blueberries + lemon slices)
- Next Chapter (strawberry + peach + vanilla + strawberries and peaches)
