Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for stoping by for my fall home tour today! This week you are going to see so many beautiful homes, crafted and decorated with love, so I’m happy to just be a small part of so much fall inspiration this year!

Today you’ll take a peak inside my kitchen, breakfast nook and family room all dressed up for fall! If you’ve been following me for awhile you know my aesthetic translates well when decorating for any holiday. Each year I try to use a slightly different color scheme mostly because I love to mix things up AND give you guys a new  look just in case your wanting to change things up! I always always ALWAYS try to remind my readers not to feel pressured into changing things up each year. It’s just not practical! If I wasn’t a blogger with access to different companies and products to showcase, then my decor would be pretty much the same each year! So if your looking for something new this year great! If you aren’t and just want to look at something new or keep it in your plans for when you DO switch it up, then that’s great too! Either way I just want you to enjoy the tour and have fun dreaming and planning!

Traditional colors like burnt orange, mustards and burgundies are SO charming and down right cozy. When I close my eyes and think “fall” those are the colors I see, probably because those are the colors nature gives us during that season! But there are so many different colors to decorate with and a lot of times it may just not be natural for you to bring traditional fall colors into your home!  So on this tour you will see just a touch of plum throughout each room hugged by a bunch of neutrals! I’ve never used this color before but just like any color I use in my home I just add it here and there for bold accents and pops around the room! If you were just to come in and scan my home with your eyes, I would want to you see the color out of the corner of your eye and connect with it again as you keep scanning the room. Does that make sense? ha! I hope so!

Kitchen Fall Decorating

So lets start in the kitchen! I brought in that bold beautiful plum color with a few floral stems from Michaels and then I mixed them in with this maple stem that IM IN LOVE with at the moment. It’s a great alternative to the lovely olive stems and eucalyptus stems we’ve been seeing for the last few years.

Over in my hutch area I kept it neutral and added a collection gorgeous amber colored jars ( OMG I WANT EVERYTHING IN THIS COLOR NOW) and coupled it with some dark green STAUB cookware that I had. If you collect a certain color of cookware like me this is the perfect place to display those beauties and even a great jumping off point for your fall decor color!

Further into the kitchen I sprinkled a few pumpkins here and there. I didn’t repeat the plum color in here only because I thought that HUGE ginger jar with those plum colored florals did a great job at making a BIG statement!

Family Room Fall Decorating Ideas

Come on into our family room! Your going to see that plum color a bit more in here but again just a touch here and there! I love to use pillows to bring in color because its a pretty affordable way to change things up. Sure you might end up with a closet full of pillows but that’s just a small price to pay. haha!

If you’re thinking about trying a new color in your home try it first will a pillow! It will give you just the inspiration your need to get things rolling or it might be just what you need to go in a different direction!
