Are you starting to plan your fall mantel for this year? Well great because this post is for you!
This year I decked out my mantel with shades of plum and green. A little different from the traditional fall color scheme but I love it! I finished building this mantel and fireplace last year right before Christmas and it’s been THE best thing I’ve done in this room! It really gives it a focal point and with the four chair grouping it makes for a great place to sit and have conversation! A lot of times I get the urge to completely change my mantel pictures when I decorate. I actually ordered a mirror to go here permanently but it didn’t arrive in time so I decided to leave my picture that I got from Minted up instead and I love how it turned out! I think some of you, actually MOST of you aren’t bloggers so you aren’t switching things out as much as we are! We do it to bring you inspiration just in case you are thinking about switching things up but we don’t expect you to do it each year! So even if you are in you’re first apartment or been in the same home for 14 years I hope your find a little inspiration today as you start to decorate for fall this year!
I gathered a collection of pumpkins from years past and placed them on the mantel on top of a bed of maple leaf stems that I picked up from my local Michaels! They always have a fun collection of stems each year and these ones really jumped out at me!
