3-Ingredient Fall Apple Cinnamon Roll Bake

Learn how to make this super simple fall desert! Really only 3 ingredients and you have a really easy weeknight desert for fall!

It’s still pretty hot her in my hometown, Phoenix but I’m making it fall anyway cause I just don’t have time to wait for AZ to catch up ha!

This is the recipe I reach for when I want the house to smell like fall even before the weather agrees with my heart.  It’s three ingredients ( apple filling, cinnamon rolls ( plus icing) and about 30 minutes of your free time.

It’s also a desert you can bring to everything! Bible study, fall potluck, or even for your sweet neighbor who just moved in. It looks like you tried. You didn’t, really and that’s the point!

I’ve made it a dozen different versions since the first time, but this is the one I keep coming back to because it doesn’t ask anything of you. No peeling, no dough, no waiting for anything to rise.

It easily goes straight from the oven to the table in the same dish and looks stunning if I do say so myself! If it’s just a weeknight, it’s the excuse to sit down with a warm bowl and let the evening slow a little. Ohh and don’t be afraid to add a little ice cream too!

Ingredients

  • 2 can Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with icing
  • 2 (20 oz.) cans apple pie filling
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Optional:
  • 1/4 cup of cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Spread both cans of apple pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and set the icing packets aside. Cut each cinnamon roll into four pieces.
  4. If using cinnamon sugar, place it in a small bowl. Add the cinnamon roll pieces a few at a time and gently toss until lightly coated.
  5. Arrange the cinnamon roll pieces evenly over the apple filling, leaving a little space between them so they have room to expand while baking.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow the bake to cool for about 10 minutes.
  8. Place the reserved icing in a microwave-safe bowl and warm for 5–10 seconds, just until it is easy to drizzle.
  9. Drizzle the warm icing generously over the top of the Cinnamon Roll Apple Bake.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
