Hello friends! I’m excited to be apart of this Thanksgiving Tablescape tour hosted by Bre at Rooms for Rent!
Hopefully it will inspire you to make a special table for your guests this holiday season. I love setting the table. I shared on Instagram the other day that I use to go to the library and check out etiquette books to learn how to set the perfect table. I also would get out all my moms fancy dishes and practice folding napkins and layering plates. It’s so funny to see how some of those “loves” carried over into adulthood.
I still know NOTHING about etiquette ha and what fork to use with what meal, but I do know that there is nothing more wonderful than to sit down at a table and know that someone was planning for you to come.
I started the table with a white table runner. I love using wrapping paper as runners because you can dispose of them when you’re done and you don’t need to worry about any stains. This paper roll from Michaels was ideal because it was wide enough to cover most of the table. It also comes in so many colors so it’s perfect for any tablescape you may be planning.
The actual place setting is made of up of layers of different textures. A world market charger, white plate with raised edges and a black and white plate. For the name tags I used a 5 inch wreath and a printable banner with gold leaf attached. All of it together makes such a beautiful and sophisticated non traditional Thanksgiving table which I love! You can get the same tags for free by clicking the ” Free Download” button below! Just use any white font you want. The font I used is called Isabella!
To make my guests feel even more loved I made these simple Herb Salt gifts. It’s very practical to give your guests something that they can use! It’s actually the salt rub that I use on the turkey each year!
