Hawaii Travel: Favorite Oahu Spots

Sometimes life takes you to places you only dream of seeing. 

I’ve always wanted to visit Hawaii. I’m sure I would have made it eventually but it’s nice to get surprised by life and go when you least expect it. When Just Destiny Mag was invited to the  Silhouette Summit in Hawaii this year I immediately said YES! When I told my hubby he was invited too, we made a  little mini vacation of it!

Favorite Oahu Spots

Not only did we get to stay at the beautiful Sheraton Waikiki and get to hear all about what Silhouette had been up to, but they also let us spend a few days sight seeing. Here a few shots that I got as we made our way around this beautiful island Oahu  

This is the view from our hotel room. I LOVE a beautiful view, I think it can make or break a vacation. But even though I don’t consider myself to be afraid of heights the 24th floor balcony made me a little dizzy when I looked over the edge:0)  

The photos above are of  a great snorkeling spot called Hanuauma Bay. The waters were beautiful. Almost like they had been untouched for centuries. 

On our way to the North Shore I snapped a few photos of Hawaii country.

We ended up stopping for an hour or so in North Shore to shop and eat a little. We picked a cute little burger joint called Kua’aina and ended up eating some famous shaved ice at Matsumoto. I had a mix of different tropical flavors called the Hawaiian with ice cream in the middle of the ice. Man it was SO good you guys! I can still taste it in my mouth! 

We also stopped by the famous Dole Plantation and had a little bit of a pineapple experience. Fresh pineapple and dole whip were two of our favorites. We were also so surprised to find out that pineapple grew from a bush. Who knew! 

I can’t wait to go back and see EVERYTHING including Pear Harbor and a few different islands! Have you been to the beautiful place? I was telling one of my girlfriends when I was flying over the island I was just so overwhelmed by the amount of creativity God has. How are we are so significant and special in something SO big!? Amazing.
