I‘m a proud member of the World Market Trendsetter Tribe which basically means I get to show you some of their amazing products right here on A Place for Us! So today it’s all about entertaining using some Summer essentials from World Market!
If your looking for a fun party theme for some Summer fun then I have a great one for you! Entertain your friends and family with a DIY Burger Bar! This theme is never gets old:0) Set up grilled burgers, a variety of cheeses, pickles, onion, lettuce and all the other stuff that makes a burger special for everyone to make their own creation.
I believe that parties should be pretty easy to pull together. One of they ways I made this simple was by using white platters along with other bold bright accent pieces. For this party I displayed our cut up burger fix-ins on these beautiful square platters. I love the modern clean lines of them! I also picked up a fun galvanized tray to hold the burgers in for pop of color!
Coupled up with some fun ramekins for the condiments, it really kept the table fun to look at! You can use different sized bowls as well to hold special toppings like pico de gallo or mushrooms which are also fun for burgers. If you’ve ever been into World Market you will notice their all white dinnerware section that will get ANY host excited to entertain. I suggest buying piece by piece until you have yourself a nice little collection:0)
For your own burger bar here are some other ideas for toppings:
Pico De Gallo
I kept the food warm with these perfect sized bakers, which has coordinating warmer to keep food ready to serve. We filled them up with some yummy mac and cheese and baked beans:0) I also served up onion rings and French fries in this French fry holder by using a piece of parchment paper to line the holder. Can’t have burgers with out fries right?
For dessert I used this super festive pie pan and made our brownies in them. But for a semi homemade look you can pie a store bought pie, take it out of the tin holder and plop it right! I love these ceramic pie pans with the blue and red trims.
Every party needs a signature drink! My husband and I are non-drinkers, but we never miss out on a fancy looking concoction. Our favorite? The Roy Roger AKA Cherry Coke! We rimmed ours with Pomegranate sugar and it was a HIT!
You only need a few things to make a beautiful cherry coke. Grenadine , Bottle Coke like Pig Iron Cola from World Market (nothing taste better than the bottle coke folks!) Sugar rimmer, cherry’s, picks and tall class! To make your sugar rim, simply dip the rim of the glass into a bowl of water. Then dip the wet rim into the sugar! tadah! I picked up a yummy pomegranate rimmer from my local World Market. Grenadine is actually not cherry but pomegranate! So the combination is perfect!
- 12oz Pig Iron Cola
- 2 tbsp grenadine syrup
- 2 Maraschino Cherries
- Drink Pick
- Pomegranate Rimmer
- Rim your glass with water and dip it into the sugar. Add ice. Pour coke over ice and add 2 tablespoons of Grenadine. Add 2 cherries to your pick and serve!
So tell me, what’s your favorite burger combo? Mine is a skinny burger with cheese:0) I keep it pretty simple, but sometimes I add pieces of peppered bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo! DELICIOUS!
